Staff and residents at Audley Clevedon in Ben Rhydding are celebrating their win at the Pinders Healthcare Design Awards.
The ceremony, held today at Lord’s cricket ground in London awarded Clevedon the Retirement Village of the year. The awards champion the design of healthcare and retirement developments, acknowledging the contribution made by designers, architects and the owners who have incorporated the needs and desires of the residents into the design.
Audley Clevedon was one of three finalists in the category and were visited by the judges in March, where all aspects of the development were examined and rated.
Doug Warren, General Manager at Clevedon said: “We are absolutely delighted at winning this award. The village has only been open for seven months, so this is a fantastic achievement and our thanks go to our hard working staff for helping make Clevedon the success it is.”
Nick Sanderson, Chief Executive of Audley said: “Clevedon is unique in the retirement village sector, offering residents independent living, but with the reassurance and support of our staff. We are immensely proud of what we have achieved here and are currently rolling out the Audley concept at several other sites around the country.”
