St Elphin’s Park Launches Joint Activities with Matlock University of the Third Age (U3A)

16 January 2010

With the new mini Club House now in place we have approached the Matlock U3A to join us (www.matlockareau3a.org.uk).  We are working together to bring a range of new activities to both the residents at St Elphin’s Park and members of the local Darley Dale community.  Their wide range of skills coupled to those of our residents will no doubt generate a truly vibrant community.  Our aim is to set up by the early Spring a range of weekly and fortnightly classes.  These will include:-

• Beginner’s Bridge
• Mah-jong
• Gardening
• Arts and crafts

In addition to the classes there is a hobbies room and a comfortable lounge for club members.  A range of refreshments will also be available during opening times.  It is hoped to introduce an even wider selection of activities throughout the coming year.

For further information please contact Alison Davies, Community Relations Manager on 01629 733337.
