UK Residential Property Award Winners

09 December 2010

Audley, developers and operators of luxury retirement villages, scooped three of the property industry's prestigious awards in 2010 for its Clevedon village in West Yorkshire.

Clevedon, which opened in September 2009, won the Five Star award for Best Retirement Development in Yorkshire at the UK Property Awards and then went on to win the International award for the same category. The village also won bronze in the Best Retirement Development category at the What House? awards.

As Audley's flagship retirement village, Audley Clevedon, located on the outskirts of Ilkley, West Yorkshire is the blueprint for all future Audley villages. Its concept and design is already well recognised within the industry, having won the title of Best Care Village earlier last year at the Pinders Healthcare Design Awards.

Nick Sanderson, chief executive of Audley said: "Clevedon has now won four awards in just ten months of opening, a great achievement for everyone involved in the village, from the Audley team to the builders, architects and of course the residents themselves.

"Audley Clevedon showcases retirement living in the years to come and demonstrates a radical departure from what is currently on offer in the UK. It was formed through analysis of the US market and resident feedback over the last 25 years. This award and positive sales are testimony to its success and future potential."
