Introducing ARVOUK

Association of Retirement Village Operators, UK

An Association created to ensure consistently high standards

Retirement villages are still a relatively new concept in the UK. As a result, there is a need to promote understanding of the advantages they offer, and to ensure that the highest standards of professionalism are maintained across a young, but fast developing industry.

To this end, in 2008, we joined forces with other reputable organisations in the field to form the Association of Retirement Village Operators UK (ARVOUK).

The ARVOUK Code of Practice

Above all, the aim of ARVOUK is provide reassurance to older people considering the retirement village option. Central to this is the ARVOUK Code of Practice, which sets out in detail the standards which members of the Associations are required to maintain, across all areas of operation.

You can download a copy of the ARVOUK Code of Practice here. Or visit the Association's website.
