Queen Elizabeth II

1926 to 2022

Queen Elizabeth II was crowned on 2 June 1953 in Westminster Abbey after the death of her beloved father George VI. Her Majesty was the thirty-ninth Sovereign to be crowned at Westminster Abbey and was our longest reigning monarch, spending 70 years on the throne.

During her reign of 70 years Her Majesty the Queen gave faultless and devoted service to both her country and her people with her unwavering and strong sense of duty.

Her Majesty uncomplainingly attended hundreds of engagements every year, always continuing with her duties even when times became challenging for her. So much has changed during her reign and there has hardly been an aspect of life that hasn’t altered. However, the one constant was always our Queen and her utter devotion to duty and her people.

Her Majesty the Queen leaves behind four children, eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She will never be forgotten and will be sadly missed.

To mark this occasion, we invite Audley owners, guests and team members to sign the book of condolence which will be available at Audley villages at the beginning of next week. If you would like to prepare a message and share it with the care team, we can ensure it is included.
