Audley Clevedon, the luxury retirement village situated in Ben Rhydding, Ilkley, hosted a cheque presentation for Parkinson’s UK following a fundraiser at the village. One of the residents, Mr Lee, organised a charity race night for both those living in the village and club members at Audley Clevedon which raised £224.10 on the night.

This week organiser Mr Lee, alongside friends and fellow Audley Clevedon residents Peter and Cilla Seago, presented a cheque to Allan Cawood, Chairman of Parkinson's UK Skipton Branch, and Gill Wiseman, Treasurer, for the amount of £224.10.

Residents at Audley Clevedon chose Parkinson’s UK as it is a cause close to their hearts. Currently over 127,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease with estimates that the condition affects at least one in every 500 people.

David Kanarens, Audley Clevedon’s General Manager, said: “Our successful activities have seen the residents at Audley Clevedon raise an impressive £224.10 to date for Parkinson’s UK and we are indebted to the hard work of Mr Lee for his incredible fundraising drive. We have been overwhelmed by people’s generosity and look forward to the many future events we have planned in aid of this very deserving charity.”
