Audley Retirement aim for What House Awards hat-trick

Posted in News on 30th October 2014

The 21st November 2014 sees the 33rd edition of the prestigious What House Awards. Highly cherished throughout the building trade, an award builds reputation and gains instant consumer trust – who wouldn’t want to buy a property from Britain’s Best House Builder?

At Audley Retirement we’re proud to be in the running for a What House Award again this year. In 2013, it was quite an event, with Audley scooping Gold in the Best Retirement Development Category for our Inglewood village in Kintbury, Berkshire. Amid the beautiful greenery of rural Berkshire, we rebuilt a former mansion, converting it into a luxurious retirement village and restoring an important piece of the landscape.

In 2012, our Mote House development in Bearsted, Kent won Gold in the same category. Within the lands of Mote Park we fashioned a luxury development of apartments and cottages, re-establishing a Grade II-listed Georgian manor in the process. Everyone at Audley Retirement is really excited to see if we can make it a hat-trick – here’s hoping for more success this November!

The Best Retirement Development Category from What House goes to the best overall package for the target audience. Many factors are considered, including aesthetics, accessibility and additional services and at Audley Retirement we aim to include as many of these as possible.

Alongside optional care packages, our villages include health clubs, swimming pools, restaurants and much more, to make sure that being retired doesn’t have to mean simply putting your feet up. The Audley Retirement philosophy is simple – downsizing from a family home needn’t result in giving up the things you hold dear, but can instead be a fresh start, and the first steps to an exciting new life.

The What House Awards, known as the Oscars of the building industry, take place at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, Mayfair, London W1.
