Audley St Elphin’s Park, the luxury retirement village situated in the Derbyshire Dales, has been named ‘village of the year’ at Audley Retirement Villages’ annual ceremony, which recognises outstanding contributions from its employees. The village was recognised by judges for delivering outstanding levels of service to owners and members of the local community.

Susan McClean, Village Manager at St Elphin’s Park, has also been named ‘village manager of the year’, in recognition of her achievements throughout 2015, including her tireless work both before and during the ARCO Weekend Cycle challenge.

Susan said, “I’m so proud to have been given the award. I love working at St Elphin’s Park; it’s a really great community to be a part of. The variety of work I do and people I’ve met have made my job really rewarding.”

St Elphin’s Park employees Stuart McCloskey (Club Services Assistant), Julie Johnson (Personal Care Assistant) and Jack Worthy (Gardener) also all walked away with awards on the night. Stuart McCloskey was recognised as the ‘Hospitality Star’ for always going the extra mile with owners and customers, while Julie Johnson was presented the ‘Care Star’ award for her consistently high standard of care. Finally Jack Worthy’s friendly and helpful nature led the judges to name him ‘Back of House star’.
